Dinamo Forlag was established 1st September 2001. We concentrate on general Norwegian literature, translated fiction and commissioned works.

Dinamo Forlag is an independent publishing company that works in cooperation with the communications centre Dinamo. We offer our authors and our business connections leading competence in PR, sales and marketing.

Dinamo Forlag has developed book projects in cooperation with individual authors, the business community and academia. This has resulted in books that fall into the following categories:

General Literature

Dinamo Forlag has published specialist literature for a wide range of readers. These books combine facts and entertainment.

Translated Fiction

We have published some twenty foreign titles in Norway so far. Among the most successful we find Yann Martel’s award winning Life of Pi, D. L. Smith’s The Miracles of Santo Fico and also Indian Anita Nair’s Ladies Coupe and Mistress. Harry Bernstein’s The Invisible Wall got a very good reception. Dinamo also introduced the Turkish crime fiction hero Yashim to a Norwegian audience, in Jason Goodwin’s book The Janissary Tree.

Commissioned works

Dinamo Forlag has published several books commissioned by various firms – usually for anniversaries or other big events. We have also provided publishing expertise for the national library Nasjonalbiblioteket.
